Now that you have your new leather accessory, it’s important to know how to keep it stay looking beautiful.

As with all natural materials, leather also needs special care. All Bufalli products are made from naturally tanned leather that will need moisturising and care from time to time. Leather will age over time and develop its own patina. This is a natural process and will give each leather item its own character. 

Leather is a natural product with imperfections and colour variations. This is proof of authenticity and should not be regarded as imperfections.

Here are some recommendations to keep your accessory as good as possible:

1. Avoid contact with water, grease, perfumes or cosmetics.

If your bag gets wet, dab the leather with a soft cloth to absorb the liquid.

2. Avoid long exposure to heat or intense light sources.

It leads to drying out and color changes of the leather.

3. Be careful not to scratch the leather on abrasive surfaces.

On some leathers, any scratches can be reduced by gently massaging them.

4. If you do not use your accessory for a while, it is wise to store it in a cotton bag provided with all Bufalli purchase, store in a dark, cool, well-ventilated area.

Never store the accessory in plastic as the leather should not be completely sealed.

In the case of a bag, fill it with old newspapers so that it keeps its shape.

Also remember to store any straps or other attached accessories in the bag in order  not to damage them or put pressure on the metal parts or the leather.

5. Don't overfill your Bufalli bag product to help it retain its shape.

Take good care of your Bufalli accessory and it will accompany you on all your adventures for years to come!
